Pop-up Caravan Beirut opens in WashingtonLebanese designers are on their way to conquer the American market, such is the challenge being taken on by Caravan Beirut, a pop-up store in Washington organized by Nour Khoury and Mariana Wehbe in partnership with the American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce. From April 8 to 12, Caravan Beirut will take over Georgetown Park in Washington D.C. and turn it into a luxurious marketplace, celebrating the best of what Lebanon has to offer. From fashion to cooking, jewelry to handicrafts, to photography, home ware, architecture, and other marvels, Caravan Beirut will expose its treasures to a brand new market, aiming to empower Lebanese designers around the world and give exposure to a brighter Lebanon that people see on the news.It all started when Khoury and Wehbe met in the summer of 2015 .More than a pop-up store, Caravan Beirut is PR, an incubator for undiscovered talents, a multifaceted venture that is happening in less than 10 days in Washington D.C. However, Khoury and Wehbe firmly intend to see the concept travel around the United States, and ultimately all over the world.
