During the second Dubai Design Week, the biggest announcement concerned The Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation – a private, non-profit education institution. DIDI will be accredited by the UAE's Higher Education Ministry and receive a total financial investment estimated to be $73.5 million. New milestones in the UAE's effort at driving innovation by building regionally developed graduate design talent plans for the development of DIDI in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design.Parsons' School is one of the leading institutions for art and design education in the world. We have been focused on building a knowledge based economy that contributes to Dubai's economic diversification, through the establishment of innovative clusters and specialized organizations that are capable of building capacities and developing the skills required to enhance various sectors, led by innovation. Today, almost 25,000 students from across the world are educated at institutes and universities located within our creative clusters".
