Blige wore a black and white bird-themed gown by Sabaji to the SAG awards in January, celebrities could not get enough of his designs. Sabaji is also fond of birds and metallic shades.One dress – described by Sabaji as the "masterpiece" of the collection -- features a design that evokes a phoenix combined with a mermaid, inspired by hybrid mythical gods.Sabaji, who inherited his atelier from his late father, Jean Sabaji, employs a team of over 20 staff who have worked at the atelier for nearly 30 years.
