Teacher, teen student shot at US school: reports
Agence France Presse
A+ A-

WASHINGTON: A teacher and a 14-year old student were shot at a school in Atlanta, Georgia, according to news reports Thursday, which said police have two suspects in custody.

CNN reported that the shooting took place at Price Middle School and that the school had been placed on lockdown.

The shooting is the latest to occur as the United States wrestles with a spate of gun violence, most recently a massacre that left 20 young children and six adults dead at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut last month.

In the wake of that shooting President Barack Obama vowed to introduce gun reform.
