Combative N. Korea will take part in Asian Games

SEOUL: North Korea said Friday that it will send athletes to this year's Asian Games in South Korea, the first time it has participated in a major sporting event there for more than a decade and despite simmering tensions between the neighbours.

"The Olympic Committee of the DPRK (North Korea)... decided to dispatch DPRK players' group to the 17th Asian Games" in Incheon, South Korea, Pyongyang's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
