A candidate running on a list contesting the Future Movement's dominance of the Beirut II district was beaten up Sunday by Future supporters, a security source told The Daily Star.Nabil Badr, who is the president of the Ansar football team, was attacked near his electoral list's office near Beirut's Ain al-Mreisseh, the source said. Future candidate and Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk has said that any vote for a list other than Future's is de-facto a vote for the party's arch-rival, Hezbollah.
