Fire extinguished at Mount Lebanon's Ain Wazein Hospital

CHOUF, Lebanon: A fire that erupted Sunday in the maternity ward of Ain Wazein Hospital in the Chouf, Mount Lebanon, was extinguished by Civil Defense teams. No injuries were reported.

Five fire trucks were dispatched at around 11 a.m., an hour after the fire started, to the key hospital that serves mainly patients from the Chouf, Aley and the higher Metn regions.

The fire was limited to four rooms in the maternity and women's health ward.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Maintenance teams are undertaking repairs at the hospital.
