BEIRUT: In the third audio recording since his disappearance, fugitive Salafist Sheikh Ahmad Assir accused Hezbollah head Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah of exploiting the Ruwaiss explosion to fortify his hold over Lebanon.
“The explosion in the southern suburbs is an expected consequence of the the crimes committed by Hezbollah in Qusair and for what he [Nasrallah] did before and after that,” Assir said in the audio recording.
“Nasrallah ... is threatening the Lebanese in general and the Sunnis in particular to get their consent to dominate Lebanon,” the fugitive preacher said.
He asked “why didn’t Nasrallah define who the takfiris are?”
He also warned that Nasrallah would empower the state authorities under the pretense of fighting takfiris.
