BEIRUT: Future MP Bahia Hariri reiterated Tuesday her party’s commitment to the state authorities and stressed the importance of Palestinian neutrality in domestic disputes.
Hariri made the comments during a visit by two Palestinian delegations of students who participated in this summer’s seventh Lebanese-Palestinian youth camp.
“We want the state and nothing else, and we will keep demanding the state be strong, to protect its people and their freedoms,” Hariri said.
She said Sidon was a city which had always embraced Palestinians and did not differentiate between them and other residents.
“One of the most important achievements [we’ve made] is neutralizing Palestinians and preventing them from intervening in Lebanese disputes.”
