BEIRUT: A man shot and wounded three of his relatives in the northern town of Zghorta Friday, a security source said, adding that shooting was due to a family dispute over land ownership.

Atweh Bitar shot his uncle and his two cousins in the legs using an automatic rifle after the parties argued over the rights to a plot of land, the source said.

The wounded men were transferred to a nearby hospital. They were identified as Joseph Atweh and his two sons Toufiq and Jad who all hail from the village of Kfar Habo.
