BEIRUT: Police arrested a three-member network that manufactures and sells captagon pills in Bekaa Valley town of Majdal Anjar, the Internal Security Forces said Friday.
The anti-drug department within the ISF had been tipped off that a network in east Bekaa was manufacturing captagon pills in order to sell them in Lebanon, the statement said.
On Oct. 1, the unit raided a house in Majdal Anjar and arrested three Lebanese identified as M.G., 35, W.G., 32, and A.S., 47.
The three were in possession of 940 kg of raw material used to manufacture captagon pills in large quantities in addition to 2,025 pills.
Investigation is ongoing under the relevant judicial bodies.
