BEIRUT: A man was killed in a personal dispute in the Nabatieh town of Sir Gharbieh Sunday, a statement released by the Internal Security Forces said.
M.D., 32, was involved in a dispute with Mohammad Bakri, the owner of an Internet service provider. M.D. shot Bakri and his companion Abbas Awwad, 35, with his 12-mm hunting rifle.
The shot killed Awwad on the spot, and M.D. fled the scene. An investigation led the ISF to identify and arrest the shooter an hour after the killing.
The rifle was confiscated and the Nabatieh police unit captured M.D. Investigations revealed that the shooter already had a long crime record for drug dealing, theft and other shootings.
