BEIRUT: Two girls and a woman were killed in separate road incidents across the country Thursday, a security source told The Daily Star.
A 10-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle on the Zahle Highway, east Lebanon. The impact sent her flying some 20 meters away from the road.
Inath al-Hasan was crossing the highway road to bring water to her parents, who work in a potato farm, when a black Golf vehicle ran her over.
The Lebanese Red Cross arrived to the scene and transferred the body to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, a 4-year-old Syrian girl, identified as Rahab Hussein al-Hussein, was killed when Ibrahim Merhej ran her over in the village of Bar Elias in the Bekaa Valley.
In the village of Jdeeta in Chtaura, Syrian Njoud al-Ali, 39, was killed when a van, driven by Khaled Shahdeh, ran her over.
