BEIRUT: Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam got out of hospital Monday a day after receiving treatment for a stomach virus, a statement from his office said.
Salam, 68, had fainted Sunday when he was offering condolences at a residence in Verdun and was immediately transferred to the American University Hospital in Hamra.
Salam has canceled all his appointments for the next couple of days to rest at his house, the statement said.
He will resume his regular activities after these two days, it added.
Salam also thanked all officials and others who called him or visited him to reassure over his health.
