Nasrallah meets senior Iranian cleric, discuss Islamic affairs

BEIRUT: Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah met with a senior Iranian cleric Friday, who was heading a delegation, and discussed Islamic affairs.

According to Hezbollah’s office, Nasrallah’s meeting with Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Araki, the head of the World Assembly for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, was attended by Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi and Sheikh Hassan Abdallah, the head of the administrative committee for the Gathering of Islamic Ulama.

The two discussed Islamic issues and steps the forum was taking to bringing Muslims together particularly at this sensitive stage.
