BEIRUT: Municipality police in Shoueifat, Mount Lebanon, arrested Wednesday evening what it described as a “dangerous” drug dealer.
According to a statement from the municipality Thursday, a Lebanese man identified by his initials A. N. was caught red-handed by the municipality police while he was promoting and selling drugs outside the cooperative COOP at 7:45 p.m.
The drugs were packed in small nylon bags, the statement said.
While in custody, an unidentified man called on the suspect’s mobile phone offering the municipality a $10,000 bribe to see the release of A. N, the statement said.
The municipality handed in the man to the Central Anti-Drug Office, the statement said.
