BEIRUT: Lebanese authorities rescued a kidnapped man during a house raid in Zahle, east Lebanon, a security source said Thursday.
Members of Lebanese state security freed Raghab Dalloul, a Lebanese lawyer, who was kidnapped two days ago “under mysterious circumstances,” the source told The Daily Star.
Dalloul was being held at a house in Zahle's industrial city, the source said.
No arrests were made during the overnight raid, the source said.
There has been a rise is kidnapping for ransom in Lebanon recently, partly due to the unrest in Syria.
