BEIRUT: Police apprehended three people for stealing over 10 vehicles in south Lebanon and Beirut's southern suburbs, the Internal Security Forces said Friday.
After receiving information about a black Honda Accord, suspected of being stolen from the southern town of Nabatieh, parked near a restaurant, police arrived to the scene and arrested three people sitting inside the vehicle.
The arrested individuals were identified by their initials M.KH., 32, H.H., 18, and R.H., 20.
An investigation revealed that the three stole the Honda Accord from Khaldeh, south of Beirut, as well as around 10 other vehicles in Nabatieh and Beirut’s southern suburbs.
They then sold the vehicles to auto parts traders.
Two vehicles were returned to their owners.
