BEIRUT: Lebanese police arrested three teenagers who confessed to pickpocketing, with two of them also admitting to raping a boy, the Internal Security forces said Thursday.

Investigation into recent pickpocketing incidents in Metn areas by two suspects on a motorcycle led to the apprehension of an 18-year-old Syrian and a 14-year-old Jordanian in the Beirut neighborhood of Dora.

The statement said police confiscated a knife and a number of Identification cards in their possession.

The two confessed to robbing people in Dora and Dekwaneh with the help of a 16-year-old Lebanese who was later detained.

The Lebanese and the Syrian also confessed to raping a boy, the sources said.
