BEIRUT: Labor Minister Sajaan Azzi lashed back Friday at a senior Syrian opposition figure who accused the Lebanese government of racism against Syrian refugees.
“I don’t recognize the body he represents, and instead of criticizing the Lebanese government, why doesn’t he exert efforts to unify the Syrian opposition.
Maybe then they could maintain one kilometer of land under their control, instead of losing ground in battles every day,” Azzi said.
He made the comments when Al-Mayadeen television asked him to respond to accusations made by Syrian National Coalition Secretary-General Bader Jamous, who asked the Lebanese government to “stop its racist practices against the Syrian refugees.
