Rafik Hariri Hospital employees call for reform

BEIRUT: Employees at Rafik Hariri University Hospital Friday promised escalatory measures in the coming days if their demands for reform weren’t taken seriously.

The employees made their demands during a news conference at the hospital, asking Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil and incumbent Minister Wael Abu Faour to take initiative.

Abu Faour Thursday warned that the hospital could be shut down due to substandard facilities and low standards. “For the last six years, we had seen great and persistent deterioration on all levels,” the employees’ committee coordinator Abed Issa said.
