BEIRUT: Police arrested last month the alleged killer of a Lebanese man slain in Abidjan, Ivory Coast last year, a statement from the Internal Security Forces said Wednesday.

The police said the suspect confessed to killing Samir Zeidan in March 2013 with the help of two accomplices, also Lebanese nationals, who live in Abidjan.

The man was arrested on March 20, 2014 in Nabatieh, south Lebanon, the statement said.

The police said they were able to identify him in the course of investigating another fraud case.

Lebanese authorities informed their counterparts in Abidjan so that the two accomplices can be arrested, the statement said.
