BEIRUT: The Internal Security Forces arrested Thursday a fugitive inmate in the northern city of Tripoli who escaped from Roumieh prison earlier this year, security sources told The Daily Star.

Mohannah Abdel Rahman, a Syrian national, was arrested in the Tripoli neighborhood of Qibbeh at around 5:00 a.m, the sources said.

Abdel Rahman is one of the three inmates that escaped Lebanon’s largest facility in February.

One of the inmates was arrested by the security forces hours after his escape and with Abdel Rahman now captured, only one of them remains on the run.
