Six-year-old Syrian found dead in Lebanon's Chouf

BEIRUT: A Syrian boy was found dead Monday in the Chouf area, The National News agency reported.

Nimr Khaled al-Dous, 6, was found by his siblings hanging from a tree in a small orchard near his family’s home in al-Karm al-Atiq neighborhood in the Iqlim al-Kharoub town of Chhim.

The death appeared to be an accident as the boy had been seen playing with the rope hanging from the tree, according to family members.

The boy’s family rushed the boy to a nearby hospital in the village of Mazboud, where he was pronounced dead.

Security forces have launched an investigation into the case.
