Lebanese Navy receives 8 U.S. gunboats

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Navy received eight gunboats Monday along with spare parts as a grant from the United States government, a statement by the Army command said.

The Navy and Army officials, with the participation of the U. S. Embassy received the grant at a ceremony held at Beirut Port.

The new naval watercrafts are part of the American military aid to the Lebanese Army, as per the agreements signed between the two countries, the statement added.
