BEIRUT: Health Minister Wael Abu Faour Wednesday ordered legal action against a physician residing in east Lebanon on suspicion of breaking the law.
The state-run National News Agency identified the physician by his initials A.S., saying he lives in the Bekaa Valley town of Chtaura.
It said Abu Faour referred the doctor to the prosecutor’s office for interrogation, accusing him of accepting money in return for issuing false medical reports.
