Internet problem due to power cuts: Harb

Lebanese had trouble with accessing some parts of the Internet since Wednesday, with many reporting outages via their social media accounts. The problem affected Ogero customers with a DSL connection. (The Daily Star/Mohammad Azakir)

BEIRUT: Recent trouble with accessing the Internet in Lebanon was due to long power outages, Telecoms Minister Boutros Harb said Thursday.

“The Internet problem was due to a 16-hour power cut,” Harb told reporters before attending a Cabinet meeting at the Grand Serail.

“But the problem was fixed this morning,” he said.
