BEIRUT: Three workers were wounded Thursday when part of a bridge under construction in the southern port city of Tyre collapsed.
The state-run National News Agency identified two of the injured as Syrian Mohammad al-Abdullah and Shehadeh Mustafa, a Palestinian.
It said the overpass, near a butane filling gas station, connected Tyre with Beirut.
The collapse occurred as concrete finishers were pouring cement, NNA added.
