Cabinet approved tax-exempt status for Saudi grant
Ministerial sources told Al-Mustaqbal that the Cabinet approved the $1 billion Saudi grant for the Lebanese Army on the principle of a tax-exempt and fee-exempt status.
Projects halted due to insufficient reserve funds for September
Plans to finish projects by the various ministries are failing due to the lack of funds necessary to finance implementation for September.

Qatar did not refuse mediation to release soldiers
Sources close to General Security head Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim dismissed reports that said Qatar had refused to help mediate toward the release of soldiers and policemen taken captive by jihadists during clashes with the Lebanese Army in the Bekaa Valley border town of Arsal.
The sources told Al-Akhbar that Qatar did not inform Lebanon that would not interfere in mediation efforts after the emirate severed ties with Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria.
