BEIRUT: Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif Saturday sent a letter to Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah to congratulate him on the eighth anniversary of the 2006 war, saying the Lebanese people’s victory was a source of regional pride.
“The memories of the heroic Lebanese resistance in the face of the Zionist Army cannot be forgotten, but they will remain to remind us of the level of sacrifices the Lebanese made and the mujahedeen in the resistance,” Zarif wrote in his letter.
“I congratulate you, the fighter in the resistance, and the great Lebanese resistance on this victory.”
“This victory was a source of pride for all Muslim people and those of the free world.”
