Army seizes armed vehicle in Hermel

BEIRUT: Army soldiers seized a car loaded with RPG grenades at an Army checkpoint in Hermel, northeast Lebanon, Wednesday.

Ahmad Mohamad Hujeiri, the driver of the armed blue Volvo, was detained alongside a second passenger- Ashraf Mohamad Ezzedine at an Army checkpoint in the Fisan Valley in Hermel in the Bekaa Valley, said an Army statement published Wednesday.

The detained suspects have been referred to the relevant judicial authorities, pending trial, according to the statement.
