France will provide its final signature to activate the Saudi-funded $3 billion military aid package for the Lebanese Army in three days, Prime Minister Tammam Salam told reporters during a flight to Paris Wednesday.Salam answered the French lawmakers' questions on the political, economic and humanitarian situation in Lebanon.Saying that Syrian refugees now make up more than one-third of Lebanon's population, Salam urged France to boost its aid to the country. The speech also focused on the presidential vacuum and the political deadlock in Lebanon. He asked France to help Lebanon agree on a president soon.Salam had explained to reporters during his flight that his visit will mostly center on the presidential impasse. He said French President Francois Hollande had personally showed interest in helping Lebanon resolve its political deadlock to elect a president.
