BEIRUT: An old mortar bomb exploded Tuesday as waste collectors emptied trash into a garbage truck in the Ghobeiri-Tayouneh neighborhood in south Beirut, a police statement said.
No casualties were reported.
The statement said the bomb was placed inside a common green Sukleen garbage container on the road that links Ghobeiri with Tayouneh.
