BEIRUT: The chairman of the Lebanese American University’s Board of Trustees has been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering, an honor handed out to those who have made outstanding contributions to the field.
Dr. Paul F. Boulos, a world-class expert on water resources and navigation engineering, is also the president and chief operating officer of Innovyze, a company that specializes in water infrastructure modeling and related technologies.
NAE Home Secretary Thomas F. Budinger praised Boulos for his contribution to “the theory and practice of computational hydraulics simulation technology for water infrastructure,” according to a press release from LAU. Boulos, who has been chairman of LAU’s Board of Trustees since October 2012, was elected along with 77 others.
