HERMEL, Lebanon: The Lebanese Army Saturday arrested a man during a raid on his home in the qada of Zahle, east Lebanon, security sources said.

The sources identified Nawwaf al-Hussein as the man apprehended during the raid in the village of Jlala, Chtaura.

Media reports said Hussein’s arrest was linked to the case of detained Omar Atrash, a Sunni Sheikh who was charged last week with involvement in two recent suicide bombings in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
