BEIRUT: A Syrian warplane fired Monday four rockets in two separate locations in the outskirts of the northeastern town of Arsal, a Lebanese security source said

Two rockets hit a deserted area in Wadi Hmayyed while two other rockets targeted Wadi Ajram in Arsal, causing material damage, the source added.

No casualties were reported.

The outskirts of Arsal have been the target of several Syrian air raids in recent months including a recent rocket attack that killed eight people including children.
