BEIRUT: Speaker Nabih Berri said Friday after holding talks with Albanian President Bujar Nishani that the Eastern European country was in dire need of Lebanese expertise and investment.
Berri wrapped a two-day visit to Albania by meeting Nishani and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana, a day after he had talks with Albanian Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta.
The talks with Nishani focused on expanding bilateral relations at the parliamentary, governmental and economic levels, in addition to the situation in the region, the state-run National News Agency reported.
“The Albanian president really welcomes Lebanese investors in various sectors,” Berri told reporters after meeting Nishani.
Berri is currently on a regional tour that has already taken him to Kuwait and Iran.
