Lebanese arrested for kidnapping Syrian girl for marriage

SIDON, Lebanon: A Lebanese man was apprehended this week for kidnapping a 14-year-old Syrian refugee girl in the coastal city of Sidon for the purpose of marriage, a security source said Wednesday.

The man, identified as Mohammad al-Sous wanted to elope with the girl.

In a complaint to the police, the parents of the refugee, identified by her initials as R.R., accused al-Sous of kidnapping their daughter.
