BEIRUT: Cardinal Beshara Rai called Thursday for protecting Lebanon and for preserving diversity in the country.
“It is very easy to destroy but very hard to build and we have to work to build a people, a cause and a way of thinking,” Rai told a delegation from the Lebanese Forces’ union department.
“We have to protect Lebanon and to end reactions and counter reactions in the county... Lebanon requires more fraternity and peace because we are in dire need for co-existence in the nation.”
“There is a war of weapons nowadays but what we actually need is the weapon of national unity because Lebanon’s value lays in its diversity and not in unilateralism.”
