Army arrests wanted man in Arsal

HERMEL, Lebanon: Lebanon’s Army arrested Thursday a man in east Lebanon wanted over attacks against the military and kidnappings, security sources told The Daily Star.

Hussein al-Hujeiri was arrested in his hometown, Arsal, the sources said.

They added that Hujeiri was involved in attacks against several attacks against army patrols and checkpoints in the Bekaa region.

He was also involved in a spree of kidnappings in east Lebanon last year.
