Lebanon Army searches refugee camp in Bekaa

HERMEL, Lebanon: The Lebanese Army carried out Friday a routine search in a Syrian refugee camp at the border village of Labweh in the Bekaa Valley, a security source told The Daily Star.

The military was looking for “weapons and bombs” inside the refugee congregations where hundreds of Syrian families and workers reside, the source said.

The Army had carried out similar measures in several refugee camps in the Bekaa Valley, the source added.

No arrests have so far been made.
