Second day of clan clashes in Baalbek wounds one
A+ A-

BEIRUT: One person was wounded as a result of clashes between the Jaafar clan and the Zeaiter family in Baalbek that entered their second day Sunday.

The scuffle, which took place in the neighborhood of Hay al-Sharawina, broke out because of family- and trade-related disputes as well as a stolen car.

The two clans attacked each other with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades until the Army intervened, blocked the road at the town’s northern entrance and carried out raids in the area.
