Iranian robbed at gunpoint on Beirut airport road

BEIRUT: An Iranian national was robbed at gunpoint on Beirut’s airport road Sunday night, a security source, citing a police report, told The Daily Star.

The Iranian, 45, told police he was on the airport road when four men on two motorcycles intercepted his car – a Nissan.

One of the assailants pointed a gun at his head and stole $2,000 as well as two Persian carpets he had inside his vehicle, the report said.

The Iranian provided police with a description of the men.
