BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army Friday briefly detained four British men reportedly for their “Islamist” appearance in the eastern town of Zahle, a source in the town told The Daily Star.

Soldiers stationed in Zahle grew suspicious of the British men's "Islamist appearance when they were taking pictures of the town,” the source said.

The Army arrested the men and transported them to an Army Intelligence center in Ablah where they were interrogated before being released several hours later.
