BEIRUT: MP Strida Geagea has filed a suit against unnamed persons who allegedly made threatening phone calls and sent letters demeaning Geagea and threatening her life, her office announced Friday.
“After a number of parliamentarians, including MP Strida Geagea, received threatening phone calls and letters, including a barrage of death threats and insults, Geagea filed [a legal suit] through the Lebanese Forces’ legal department represented by Dr. Sleiman Lebbous,” the statement said.
The announcement comes a day after the Lebanese Forces issued a statement saying an unmanned drone had been circling over Maareb, the home of party leader Samir Geagea.
