Man wounded in north Lebanon shooting dies

BEIRUT: Unidentified gunmen fatally wounded a man in Beddawi, north Lebanon, in an overnight shooting, security sources told The Daily Star Monday.

Two gunmen riding a motorcycle, one of them masked, opened fire on Mohammad Khodr Qallit and shot him in the neck, the sources said.

He was transferred to a hospital in Minyeh and later died after suffering from internal bleeding.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
