BEIRUT: The head of the Palestinian National Security Forces in Lebanon, Gen. Sobhi Abu Arab, checked in on the northern refugee camps Monday, according to a statement issued by his media office.
Abu Arab held meetings with senior security officers in north Lebanon at the Yasser Arafat Center in the Beddawi refugee camp.
Abu Arab’s visit came as Tripoli recovers from its most recent round of violence. During his visit, Abu Arab attended the graduation ceremony of new security officers.
In his speech, he stressed the importance of “committing to national Palestinian principles, for which all our martyrs have given their lives, notably martyr President Yasser Arafat.”
