One killed from gunfire on Lebanon-Syrian border

BEIRUT: One person was killed and another wounded Thursday after shots were fired from inside Syria into the northern border region of Wadi Khaled, the National News Agency reported. 

Khaled Khodor al-Quaisem, a Syrian national, died as a result of his wounds after being transported to the Lady of Peace Hospital in Qobeiyat. 

Mohammad Hussein, 24, also a Syrian national, was wounded. 

The shots from machine guns inside Syria were fired toward the oil pipeline in Wadi Khaled, the agency said.
