At least one rocket fired from Lebanon hits Israel

SIDON, Lebanon: At least two rockets were fired from south Lebanon toward northern Israel Friday, drawing Israeli fire in retaliation, security sources said.

The sources told The Daily Star that the rockets were fired from the Majidieh area in the Hasbaya region facing Kfar Shuba, a few hours after a failed attempt to fire a similar rocket into Israel.

They said one rocket was fired at 1:15 a.m. and the other at 6 a.m. 

The Israeli army said a projectile fired from Lebanon struck northern Israel early Friday causing no damage.
