BEIRUT: An 81-year-old man set fire to a car belonging to the general prosecutor of the Maronite appeal court Tuesday in the Okaibeh area of Kesrouan, according to an Internal Security Forces statement.
N.H, a Lebanese man born in 1933, burned Naji Kheirallah’s Mercedes at 2:10 a.m. in Baqaqeddine village, the statement said.
“During his interrogation by officers of the Ghazir police unit, he confessed to having burned the car,” the statement added. However, “priest Kheirallah chose not to prosecute him.”
